This is an album I made when I was just entering my 20’s. My band at the time, Gamara, just broke up and I locked myself in the basement with a 4-track recorder and made this disk.  Well, I shouldn’t call it a disk...I basically put them on tapes and gave them to my friends (very few of them exist anymore, I imagine). This is before I discovered the concept of ‘pressing’ and ‘merchandise’.

This is the sound of an angsty, post-teenage me. With song-titles like ‘Porn King’ and ‘Strap On’ I was pretty out there. ‘Feel My Heat’, by the way, is the Dirk Diggler song from BOOGIE NIGHTS.

The sound quality and...well, the songs are pretty hack-ish, but it set the stage for a lot of stuff I’d do later on. The lo-fi/DIY approach most notably. Growing up in NH gives you a very narrow view on life. This is before I grew up a little, moved away and discovered the good stuff life had to offer. But as a historical document it’s fun and cool.  And ‘Strap On’ still fucking rocks.
